Christ Our King Preschool offers classes for children 2 to 5 years of age.
The Christ Our King Preschool Philosophy
The first purpose of our preschool is to educate young learners about the world around us and to share God’s love though kindness, patience, joy and cooperation. Our Faith Formation teacher provides lessons that coincide with the liturgical calendar and celebrations sharing God's love for His people around the world. Christian education is an important part of our curriculum. Class activities motivate the child to develop a positive self image, as a child loved by God. This Christian approach then extends to family, friends, and community. Children are taught to pray in their classes and at snack time.
Children meet their academic goals through high-quality, worthwhile educational experiences in an inviting, safe, but, stimulating environment. The preschool program provides children with individual and group experiences which foster their understanding of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies concepts. Creative experiences such as art, music, literature, and dramatic play are valued and incorporated in daily learning. Lessons also include opportunities to develop gross and fine motor skills.
Preschool+, our extended day arts enrichment program introduces theatre, visual arts, music and movement, and STEM concepts.
