Colleen Gambrill - Director
Our director, Colleen "CeeCee" Gambrill loves working with "little lovebugs." CeeCee is a retired HCPS teacher. She taught 1st and 2nd graders for most of her career. She also worked for 10 years as a Teacher Mentor coaching beginning teachers across all grades including Pre-K. Colleen holds a Master's in Elementary Education as well as a post-graduate certification in Administration & Supervision, both from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Colleen holds Administrator I and II certifications through MSDE. She lives with her husband and their orange Tabby in Bel Air.
Elisabeth Phelan - Faith Formation & Lead Teacher
Happy Hearts
Miss Betsy joined Christ Our King Preschool in 2023 as the 2s and 3s aide. She is returning to help our youngest learners in Happy Hearts as the new Lead Teacher. Miss Betsy is also assisting in the 3 day 4s class this year. As if that weren't keeping her busy, she has chosen to share her love of teaching religious education with our students as our Faith Formation Teacher. We we couldn't be more thrilled to know our students will benefit from her deep faith and love of teaching. Betsy holds a Bachelor's in Education from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland. She lives in Bel Air with her husband, four children and their beloved pug.
Corinne Briendel - Lead Teacher
Cheerful Spirits
Miss Corinne is returning this year as the Lead Teacher in our 3s class. She graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and Gerontology. Eventually she worked her way to earning her 90 hour preschool certification at Harford Community College. Prior to joining COK, she worked for eight years at St. Francis de Sales Preschool in Abingdon. Corinne LOVES Orioles baseball and even coached girls' softball for five years. Miss Corinne lives in Abingdon with her two teenage daughters and a fish named Klunk.
Suzanne Thompson - Lead Teacher
Joyful Learners (3 days)
Miss Suzie joined our staff 3 years ago, and we are so pleased she is now the Lead Teacher in our Joyful Learners (3 days) program. Suzie worked at the Bel Air Athletic Club Preschool until its closing. She is also retired from Harford County Public Schools where she taught for 30 years. Suzie earned her Bachelor's in Elementary Education from York College of Pennsylvania. She also has her Master's in Reading Education from Loyola University. She is certified and fully credentialed as a preschool teacher through MSDE. Suzie also enjoys her work as the Manager of the Harford Dance Theatre Company at Harford Community College. Suzie and her husband are the parents of three adult children and have recently become empty nesters.
Jill Holtschneider - Lead Teacher
Joyful Learners ( 5 days)
Miss Jill became the 4s Lead Teacher at Christ Our King Preschool in 2015, and we are thrilled that she is still sharing her expertise at our school. Previously, she was a COK parent for three years and a substitute teacher for three years. She was also the Assistant Teacher in the 3s class and the 4s class for 3 years at each level, She has done it ALL here at COK! Last year, she earned the Childhood Development Associate (CDA) designation. Jill has also earned her 90 hour certification in Early Childhood Education, and she is accredited by MSDE. Beloved by students and parents, Miss Jill brings a dynamic energy to her work with all children as they prepare for Kindergarten. She lives nearby with her husband and youngest daughter. She recently gained a son-in-law who lives in Ohio with her oldest daughter.
Lisa Roberts - Assistant Teacher
Joyful Learners (5 days)
Our Joyful Leaners class (5 days) rocks Miss Lisa's world. She joined the 4s team in 2017 as a Teacher's Aide. Since earning her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2023, Lisa now works as the Co-Lead Teacher for this class. Also, Lisa has been essential in the development of the 2s class where she served as the Lead Teacher for four years. In addition to her AA from Harford Community College, she holds a 90-hours preschool certification and is credentialed through MSDE. As a lifelong learner, Lisa has already begun work on her Bachelor's. We are very proud of her work in the classroom. Miss Lisa lives in Bel Air with her husband and three children.
Kimberley Thompson - Lead Teacher

Miss Kim joined Christ Our King Preschool as the Transitional Kindergarten teacher for the 2021– 2022 school year. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Monmouth University in New Jersey, her home state. Miss Kim also holds her 90 hours preschool certification, and she is fully- credentialed through MSDE. In addition to teaching preschool, she has worked as a Kindergarten and 1st grade teacher in the New Jersey public school system. With a background in Spanish, Miss Kim loves to integrate conversational Spanish into her class, and her students LOVE learning to "hablo Espanol." Kim lives in Havre de Grace with her husband and two teen daughters.
Carrie Post - Assistant Teacher
Growing Disciples
Miss Carrie joined Christ Our King Preschool in 2015 as our 3's Aide. She was instrumental in the development of our Transitional Kindergarten program, and now serves as the Assistant Teacher in TK. She loves preparing those children for Kindergarten in new and exciting ways. A native of Long Island, New York, Miss Carrie has lived in Bel Air for many years along with her husband, three children, her mother, and two much-loved pups.
Susan Buddenbohn - Teacher’s Aide
Miss Susan joined Christ Our King this year after serving 10 years as a Teacher’s Aide in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Susan worked most of her career at St. Francis de Sales in Abingdon until the school’s closure. She then joined St. Joan of Arc Preschool in Aberdeen. We are so glad she decided to bring her “kid magic” to Christ Our King this year. Miss Susan is assigned to our 2s, 3s and Preschool Plus teams as a Teacher’s Aide. She lives in Edgewood with her husband and two adult children.
