The 3 Year Old Class

The three year old classes are exposed to a variety of curriculum content in a structured setting throughout the course of the school year. Various group and individual activities are used to introduce basic concepts and skills.  They will work on gross and fine motor skills, as well as, number, shape, color and first name recognition.  They will learn to sing songs, participate in finger plays and interact with each other.  Some of the science topics include daily weather, plant growth, dental health, the five senses and nature observation.  The three year olds explore our world through learning about fire prevention, different modes of transportation, dental health and new life in the spring.  We celebrate holidays and focus on both the secular and religious meanings of these important days. Art activities are used to introduce and allow children the opportunity to enjoy the creative process. In addition, the classes will go on a few field trips to reinforce the curriculum content.  Parents are invited to join us on many of these trips!
