Joyful Learners - 4 years
Our Joyful Learners are exposed to a variety of curricular content in a structured setting. Group and individual activities are used to introduce and reinforce basic concepts and skills. Letter recognition, letter sound recognition, literature and literature-based activities are presented to develop pre-reading skills and foster a love of reading. In science, metamorphosis, plant growth and animal behavior are explored. Patterns, counting and sorting are some of the math skills presented on a daily basis. Joyful Learners explore our world by learning about our presidents, community helpers and the past. We celebrate holidays and focus on both the secular and religious meanings of these important days. Art and music activities are used to introduce and reinforce concepts and to encourage students to enjoy the creative process. In addition, the classes will go on several field trips to reinforce the curriculum. Parents join in on these trips. We offer two options for our Joyful Learners - a 3 day morning class M, W, F from 9:00 - 11:30 a M, W, F afternoon class from 12:30 3:00, and a 5 day morning class from 9:00 - 11:30.
