Welcome to Christ Our King Co-Op Preschool in Bel Air, MD
Christ Our King Co-Op Prechool is a non-profit congregational and community service offered by Christ Our King Presbyterian Church. The church preschool was organized in 1973 by a group of church members who were interested in developing a program for three and four year old children based on Christian principles. Administration of the preschool is by the Board of Directors of the School.
A cooperative preschool aids in the adjustment of the child from the home to the school atmosphere. It offers opportunities for the parents as well as the child to become participants
in the classroom environment.

Lastly, the opportunity for parent learning experiences through participation in the classroom as well as discussions with
The cooperative preschool program is intended to provide the child with developmentally appropriate individual and group experiences. These experiences promote sound social, intellectual, and emotional growth. Creative experiences such as art, music, literature, science, social studies, and dramatic play are provided as well as periods of outdoor play.
Christian education is an important part of our curriculum. Class activities motivate the child to develop a positive self image, a child loved by God. This Christian approach then extends to family, friends, and community. Each class also visits the church sanctuary on a monthly basis for a Bible story time called "Chapel Time." During this time they share God's love.
